24 days until election day in my oak grove city council bid. Flying off to Boston early tomorrow morning to say goodbye to my grandfather, I'll be missing the next council meeting to attend his funeral. I love the Dropkick Murphys they played this song in a free concert in the parking lot across the site where Alex Pretti got murdered. Operation Metro Surge wasn't an even-handed operation doing what was necessary, it was the federal government putting on a show of violence. power, and cruelty. They lied about the people they took, they lied about the citizens they killed. They lied about the legality of their actions. And they have a strong possibility of being back this midterm cycle. I ran for city council because I didn't want to vote for people who would for whatever reason be complicit in this. I wanted an alternative.
